LIVERPOOL STREET

LIVERPOOL STREET

Set within the constraints of a heritage listed Victorian terrace, a new internal volume is created with skylights carefully oriented to the sun’s path. Full-height custom steel-framed glass doors curate verdant views and extend the interior into the landscape, allowing light and atmosphere to also shift with the seasons.

Materials have been chosen for their tactility, breathability and capacity to patina with age. Cool custom stainless steel joinery and nickel tapware from Perrin & Rowe sit against honed Carrara marble, and French oak timber - surfaces that absorb, reflect, and deepen with time. Similarly, the home is defined by its different shades of white - various tones of limewash and microcement adorn the walls, mouldings and ceilings.

We believe that a sensual interior needs to hold a subtle tension. A deep, enveloping sofa from Maker & Son sits softly alongside a more sculpturally rigid chair from Studioutte and functionalist coffee table by Poul Kjaerholm from the 50s. Where possible the home is slow, analogue and restorative - a refuge from the faster paced outside world.
